Christian culture ain’t easy to grok. Like any good microcivilization, it’s got its own norms, its own traditions, its own unspoken rules and its own language. Inside the club, it’s easy to forget that the catch-phrases like “Dying to self” and “Love offering” are just meaningless words without a lot of context and background. Outside the club, it’s easy to see the whole thing as a Twilight Zone bizarro-world.
